The design of these stamps is very similar to SG2069, a stamp issued almost an entire year earlier in the Commemorative Set "The Inventors' Tale". The overall design of these stamps drops the inscription seen on SG2069, as well as relocating the face value to the top left corner. SG2069 featured the Greenwich Meridian map as a background, which is seen again here alongside differentiations displaying maps of North America, The Middle East and Asia.
