Welcome to the March 2015 edition of the Albany Stamps collector e-newsletter.

In the past month we have added plenty of new stamp issues to our shop site www.albanystamps.co.uk covering folded and bar coded stamp booklets, First Day Covers, miniature sheets, commemoratives and definitive. So it is worth revisiting areas on the site.

 

Next GB stamp issues to be aware of:

On the 1st April there will be an issue of 10 commemorative Comedy Greats stamps. The stamps will be presented in two se-tenant strips featuring classic sketches, characters, routines and costumes:-

Spike Milligan as Funnyman Milligan was also a writer and poet.
The Two Ronnies in their classic sketch show ran for 16 years.
Billy Connolly a one-time welder is also a respected actor.
Morecambe and Wise in their Christmas Show attracted 28m viewers.
Norman Wisdom in his great film Persona was Norman Pitkin.
Lenny Henry who won the talent show New Faces in 1975.
Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in the vanguard of UK satire.
Monty Python who all had an Oxbridge education.
French and Saunders who met at drama school in 1978.
Victoria Wood who won the New Faces talent show in 1974.
 

This months featured Society Stamp fairs & Auctions:

- Enfield Philatelic Society Stamp Auction 16th April with viewing 7.30pm and auction 8.15pm. Saint

- Kettering Philatelic Society stamp fair 10am -4pm 18th April at the Isle Lodge Community Centre,

- Camberley &District Stamp Club Auction 25th April with viewing 10am and auction 1.30pm. Morgan
