Albany Stamps News August 2013

Welcome to the August 2013 edition of the Albany Stamps collector e-newsletter.

There are plenty of new of new stamp issues and new products added to our site www.albanystamps.co.uk covering GB folded and bar coded stamp booklets, First Day Covers, miniature sheets, commemoratives plus nearly all the Channel Islands and Isle of Man issues.

Stamp GB issues to be aware of:

The next commemorative issue on 19 September is illustrating the Merchant Navy, and consists of a set of 6 stamps, a miniature sheet and a prestige stamp booklet. The stamp issue looks at 200 years of the British merchant fleet, from the age of sail to the modern bulk carrier and marks the contribution made by the Merchant service. Some famous ships are included such as the Cutty Sark and the Queen Elizabeth. Also featured are Royal Mail Ships, including the renowned Britannia, propelled by both steam and sail, it famously made inaugural voyage for the Cunard line which had the contract to convey the mail.

If you are interested in subscribing to our new issues service just let us know by email at sales@albanystamps.co.uk

On the 20th  September there will be a new issue of  Post and Go pictorial stamps continuing the theme for Freshwater Life and will illustrate rivers. The rivers set will be on sale from Hytech Postavision New Generation vending machines at Autumn Stampex.

We continue to get requests for stamps not yet loaded to our stamp site and we welcome customer requests for items not yet loaded and usually can source very quickly.

Best regards Janet Hampton
