Welcome to the February 2013 edition of the Albany Stamps collector e-newsletter.
As we settle into the New Year, the philatelic world springs back into life and there are plenty of events to look forward to. Spring Stampex at the Business Design Centre from Wednesday the 20th to Saturday the 23rd February. In the past month new products have been added to our website www.albanystamps.co.uk and in the coming weeks we will be including a large selection of folded and bar coded stamp booklets, all 2012 presentation packs, miniature sheets and commemoratives.
Celebrity Signing at Salisbury Stamp Show. TV Presenter and founder of Childline, Esther Rantzen will be signing specially produced show covers at the Salisbury Stamp Fair in aid of Childline report the organisers. The show takes place at Five Rivers Leisure Centre in Salisbury 15-16th March; Esther will be signing on Friday 15th March.
Doctor’s 50th Anniversary. To mark the 50th anniversary of the ever-popular Dr Who television series, Royal Mail is issuing a set of 11 stamps depicting each of the 11 actors who have played the part of Doctor since it first shown on the BBC on 23 rd November 1963.
